Photoelectric Safety Barrier
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The systems of SB-K4C series, made up of an active side and a passive side, have been developed to protect technical gaps, thus minimising the costs and the problems relating to the installation of a two-ray barrier.
The novelty of this system is the way in which the rays are generated. As a matter of fact, inside of the SB-K4 barrier you can find the electronics that is necessary for both the projector and the receiver. The first advantage of this structure is the connection easiness: it is no more necessary to supply both the barriers like in the case of a normal projector/receiver barrier, but it is enough to supply with power only one part. The SP-C passive part, located in front of the SB-K4, only receives the rays that are generated by the barrier and, through inner mirrors, sends them back to the receiver. In this way, the
rays describe two ‘C’ to pass from the projector to the receiver.
With these barriers it is also possible to use the ES-B4 stand, if the installation conditions make it necessary to have a protection against impacts.
The SB-K4C barriers have been design in conformity to the valid standards as for safety and workers’ health; moreover, all the technical features and the specific functions of the SB family barrier are present also in the SB-K4C model.
